On September 15, 2023, local businesses, individuals and corporations joined us for a day of giving back and networking at our first BUSINESS & COMMUNITY BUILDING GOLF-OUTING!

It was an awesome day of golfing and networking at The Highlands of Elgin:

• We awarded a minority business enterprise scholarship to Dion Lewis of LewisBrothers Heating and Cooling". He will use this scholarship to better his business or increase his training to bring more business opportunities and revenue to his business. This also positions him to secure financing, contracts & resources.
• We provided a $1,500.00 scholarship to Red Vega Beauty to support a reentering female adult’s journey to becoming a certified nail technician. This scholarship will support her in securing a trade and starting her journey to entrepreneurship if she desires.
• We connected corporations, minority businesses, government, state, and local agencies.
• We raised funds to provide underserved communities with programming and services.
