On August 16, 2023, we took part in a Business Pitch Competition with Kane County Jail. The pitch competition was an opportunity for the detainees to present their business pitch and the best pitch won a financial prize. This was a great opportunity for us because it allowed us to assist with planning a future after they are released. This competition gave detainees something to aspire to. If they have no plan or goal, they often return to jail. We received 40 pitch ideas. Only 5 people pitched their ideas to the judges on the day of the competition.
